  • Chamomile: Nerves soothes it and also promotes relaxation.
  • Eucalyptus: It clears the mind and decreases tension.

The Benefits of Hand Massage

Hand massage works to ease stress and stress relief using the pressure points and muscles on the hands. Whether you’ve been typing all day and need a hand massage to relieve stress, or need to ease a post workout muscle ache, hand massages offer targeted relief.

Critical Benefits of Hand Massage:

  • It improves circulation and removes stiffness.
  • Gives away a feeling of relaxation to the muscles and joints.
  • It stimulates nerve endings which promote relaxation.
  • It helps increase mood through touch therapy.

Aromatherapy and Hand Massage Together Work Why

The hand massage combined with aromatherapy is a multi sensory experience that involves both the body and mind. Here’s how they complement each other:

Enhanced Relaxation:

An essential oil relieves the brain’s limbic system that regulates emotions. Massage increases this physical relaxation effect.

Deeper Stress Relief:

Hand massage relaxes tense muscles and aromatherapy is an effective way to reduce cortisol (stress hormone) levels and that is hot stress relief at its core.

Improved Skin Health:

When essential oils are mixed with carrier oils (almond or jojoba oil) then they nourish the skin during massage so that your skin remains soft and hydrated.

Aromatherapy with Hand Massage – How to pair

To make the most of this combination, follow these steps for a therapeutic experience:

Choose Your Essential Oil

An important thing to do is select an essential oil that makes you feel good about yourself and that has the desired effect of what you’re intending to do. For example:

Feeling stressed? Use lavender or chamomile.

Need an energy boost? For peppermint or citrus oils they opt.

Prepare Your Massage Oil

Oils are potent, and should be diluted in a carrier oil prior to application. Essential oil mixed with a tablespoon carrier oil and 5 to 6 drops.

Create a Relaxing Atmosphere

Dim the lights, put some soft music on and have the diffuser repart particles of the aroma throughout the room.

Perform the Massage

Start with clean, warm hands. Apply the oil blend and gently massage the palms, fingers, and wrists using these techniques:

  • Circular Motions: Pressing your thumb gently on the palm, use your thumb to press circularly on the palm.
  • Finger Strokes: Stretching each finger gently, run your finger along the length of each finger.
  • Wrist Rotations: Turning your wrist, using both hands, relieves the tension around the wrists.
  • Focus on Pressure Points

For complete relaxation, relax reflexology points at the hands matched with relief and emotional balance.
