In the vast and colorful world, we encounter a variety of people throughout this rich and diverse life. Some individuals are cheerful, lighthearted, seemingly free of inner turmoil. Others consistently wear a troubled expression, appearing melancholic and reserved, as if burdened by unresolved issues.
To live in this world, we cannot escape the necessities of life—food, shelter, and human interaction. While people’s circumstances at birth may differ, the experiences they go through in life are generally similar. Most individuals undergo education, work, marriage, child-rearing, family care, and interactions with friends, colleagues, and strangers.
Despite the seemingly uniform nature of these experiences, people’s emotions vary. Some individuals feel weighed down by the daily grind, as they carry every matter, big or small, on their minds. Others believe that life isn’t so burdened with troubles and manage to find joy in each day, as they don’t let every matter occupy their thoughts.
Thus, life is as such—our happiness depends entirely on our inner state. Regardless of our life circumstances, if we can maintain an open mind, we can reduce many worries. No matter the size of a matter, if we don’t let it disturb our peace of mind, we can live more relaxed and at ease. Conversely, if we fret over every little thing, we’ll be entangled and unable to let go, leading to anxiety and unrest, making it impossible to feel content.
With only 24 hours in a day, our time cannot be increased or decreased. Therefore, it’s better to live each day with joy, letting go of life’s trivial matters, keeping a clear mind, not dwelling on past issues. There’s nothing we cannot accept; it’s simply a matter of whether we can release it from our hearts.
Thus, in life, there’s no need to fear encountering events, big or small. As long as we don’t carry them in our hearts, everything will be fine.
